Former 18th-century coaching inn; the pub name Cricketts means \’wooded copse and is not derived from the game or insect. An attractive frontage with pale painted brickwork and hanging baskets in summer masks late 20th-century additions at the rear. Inside there is a smart open-plan bar/lounge area but with a few secluded corners (snugs) plus a two-part restaurant beyond. An enclosed beer garden with patio lawn and childrens play area is behind the pub and a small field above the car park is occasionally used for events. Meals available all day to 9pm Mon-Thurs to 9.30pm Fri & Sat.
