A Freehouse with a well stocked bar including regularly changing local ales, we are showcasing the best of the region’s craft beers. Our staff are passionate about their spirit, wine and soft drinks selection, likewise our chefs are proud of the constantly evolving seasonal menu which boasts fresh produce sourced as locally as possible.
We are currently closed for food on Monday & Tuesdays but join us for lunch or dinner Wednesday – Sunday. We suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment, especially in the busier periods. We have space out the front, which is on a first come first serve basis, to enjoy a refreshing drink in the warmer months whilst we have the luxury of having comfy sofas in-front of an open fire during the colder months.
The team work hard to provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere at the Mousetrap, whether it be a nights stay in one of cosy rooms, a couple of drinks catching up with friends or celebrating a special occasion in our restaurant.
The Mousetrap is proud to be supported by a wonderful local community all year around. Please do come and visit us and bring along your friends, dogs or children (not necessarily in that order!).
Our 11 recently refurbished rooms include 3 pet friendly rooms on the ground floor and car parking spaces at the back (first come first serve basis).
