The Oddfellows Arms is a three storey restaurant and bar in Mellor near Marple that dates back to 1700. The curious name derives from the Oddfellows Society (a precursor of the trade union movement) that used to meet in the bar in the 1860s.
Today the Oddfellows has a ground floor bar and a restaurant on the second floor serving a range of quality food. Recently under new management the name may not have changed but the menu food & style has.
With a wide range of both a la carte & set menus the new Oddfellows Restaurant offers a wide range of dishes to suit everybody’s taste buds. The style ranges from modern bistro cuisine to the more traditional home cooked dishes all of which are prepared daily on the premises.
