As ownerships and tenants have changed over the years so has the style, décor and name of the pub. Mick`s interest in history (particularly themed antiques and old railway memorabilia) is clear to see in the pub decor and has acquired a lot of interest from both locals and new customers. Feedback has been very positive about the name change and we feel this renaming is very fitting with the history of the old railway line, now the South Downs Link Way.

We have now opened The Sidings Garden Kiosk, a family friendly café style kiosk offering hot beverages, soft drinks and snacks for customers who like to sit in the beer garden( which is also being refurbished) and the many cyclists and walkers making their way down the Links Way. This too is being named in keeping with the railway theme, a siding is a short track at the side of and opening on to the railway line.

We look forward to seeing customers old and new.

The Old Railway is a family run country pub, located in West Sussex on the downs link! We serve a great selection of wines, draught beers, gins and other spirits for your enjoyment, along with a wide range of soft drinks.

We have a large beer garden with apparatus to keep your children entertained for hours, giving you time to relax with a nice refreshing drink in the summer months dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead,please make sure you are responsible for your dogs (and children).

Our friendly staff add to the warm and cosy atmosphere.
