Situated in the village of Bodle Street Green in delightful countryside on the edge of the Sussex Weald.
This country pub is within easy reach of the towns of Eastbourne, Hailsham, Battle, Heathfield and Bexhill. Known for its tell-tale ‘White Horse’ painted on the roof (believed to be a portrait of a racehorse owned by a director of the Star Brewery, the owners of the inn at that time) it is easily recognised as soon as you approach the brow of the hill from the south.
Serving home-cooked food mid-days and evenings, plus a selection of real and guest ales and interesting wines, with real log fires in winter. To book a table call 01323 833243
