Rude Health has partnered with BrewDog to launch an Almond Breakfast Stout.

The drink (6% abv) is made with the B Corp-certified Rude Health’s oat milk, “making it markedly different from the traditional lactose-laden recipe”, said the brand.

“At first glance, the beer looks like a stout, but it tastes like a crisp bitter”, it added, with an “intense smoky coffee and almond nose”. However it is allergen-free, making it one of Brew Dog’s most innovative limited-edition brews to date.

Although it was “inspired by the brand’s market-leading Almond Drink”, using oat milk in the recipe meant it was allergen-free.

Rude Health’s ”no taste-bud-left-unturned approach is about making dairy alternatives a celebration”, said its co-founder and brand director Camilla Barnard. “Taking the bland and turning it bright. We’re proud to take this philosophy to our partnership with BrewDog.”

The drink will be available in 330ml cans through BrewDog’s BrewDog & Friends monthly subscription service.

“We love working with amazing brands that are committed to challenging their industry. When we joined forces with Rude Health to create a beer, we knew the liquid had to be a representation of their mission,” said BrewDog CEO James Watt.

It’s not the only B Corp the brewer – which is itself a B Corp – has collaborated with recently. Earlier in 2021 it linked up with ethical chocolatier Tony’s Chocolonely to launch a white chocolate & raspberry milkshake IPA called Tony’s Hopolonely.
